Started the weekend well enough - got to Southern Cross and got me MOT without issues. Weird how a proud feeling comes over you when your pride and joy passes!!
Then decided to give the bike a much loved clean and oh what a clean she got. Once I had started I didnt know where to stop! Anyway, cut the long story short, ended up with mucho mucho grease and dirt on the floor which was then stepped on and trapsed all about the house!
No problem, get some vanish on it! Nope, it just spread and made the oily patch worse!
So, if anyone else gets in this pickle and needs to clear up before the Mrs gets home, use AutoGlym. It takes the tar, grease, oil anf grime off your bike easily enough and OMG it was like magic on the carpet. Didnt even have to wait until it had soaked in or anything - instantly clean carpet!!
:hehe:
Autoglym what? Tar remover? Nice white patch on a previously coloured carpet? ![]()
I was worried about that but thought “hey whats worse!”
I got away with it because I wiped it up straight away and the carpet is very light colour anyway - sort of light beige.
“Light beige”. Isn’t that the colour of fresh synthetic oil?
let me let you in on one of smileds TOP TIPS;)
WD40…brings it right up and cleans that oil right away…
just thought ide throw that in…lol:D.
smiled:).
You lot are spoilt
Carpet in your garages?
dont know about carpet but my missus was not happy when she came home from holiday and found engine oil in the dish washer and sink…
i denied all…

Only mine was the black, used, grimey sticky stuff!
I can see WD40 working well too!!
laughs because she has wooden flooring and there isnt a room in the house without bike bits pouring oil or grease everywhere
Ha ha nice one…must have been the kids love! :Whistling:
misses is always going mad at me for oily finger prints on light switches and all over the bathroom sink
Next time insist on an oil coloured carpet in the first place! :w00t:
Try baking on heat resistant paint in the oven! Anyone read A Hundred Years of Solitude? I found the names really confusing but maybe I should have closed the book and taken a break after twelve hours but hey it was so good i couldnt put it down despite my confusion, speaking of which, what was this thread about? I dont think much of the way to Amarrillo it`s got to many twists and the surface is long overdue for attention and there are far to many Harley riders.
