I drive a big bike and also have an X5
Although wife does not let me drive as apparently i drive like an idiot.
We have 2 kids and this is by far the best car for transporting the little monkeys around and as safe as it can get.
Being the wife of a biker she always pulls over and indicates to let bikes through.
Don’t think you can spotlight 4x4 owners in general it is just bad drivers
You can site next to some people and rev and rev but they still don’t move over. Just take them when you can and laugh at how it took you a fraction of the time it will take them to reach their destination.
And if anyone scratched my lovely and expensive car for no reason at all then it would be “Right Turn Clyde”
With all the speed bumps popping up all over the place the 4x4 is probably at home going down most roads 
I have to say through with the time ive spent riding on the roads people in smaller cars cause me more problems as I find them harder to read… with a 4x4, white van, etc you can kinda guess the driving style which goes with that vehicle. At the end of the day every legal vehicle on the road has its right to be there and its the thinking of “I own the road” that causes the problems… its not the cars but the mentallity of the person behind the wheel or the handle bars.
i had a cayanne up until Jan this year and was as considerate in that then as i am in my Jag now.
I reckon the Granny/Grand dad in a little one point zero metro takes up more room on the road than any other vehicle, EVEN an artic…

I think the people attacking this guy as being jealous are the one with problems. Self-consciousmuch.
The point is these things are frickin’ huge. After you’ve MOTd, taxd and C-Chargd them, they still barely scrape past the second line of traffic.
Oh, I’ll just wait patiently till there’s a gap. There’s no gap because this prat has chosen to exercise his or her right to drive a rolling roadblock into London. That’s like me fitting a huge plastic skirt to my bike. Hey, it’s taxd, f*ck you all if you can’t get around me.

I got a 4x4 and would never goto London In It, Just as I won’t go and see my m8’s and family who live down muddy track roads on a blade.
there is fair points made but they will never be banned & people will still buy them
i’m sure if you went on a cyclist forum there will be people saying that theres too many bikes in london & we should all ride 50cc peds cos we dont need to go over 30mph
best thing is when/if a 4x4 gives way show some thanks instead of using your shoulder on there mirrors then maybe they will let the next biker past
Fair point Dhofty - I’m sure a lot of cyclists hate bikers too - especially as we often find ourselves occupying/competing over the same gaps/space, particularly in the centre of town.
I always give the thumbs up to people who show me courtesy on the road - whatever they’re driving/riding - so that they will show consideration to the next bike that comes along.
Used my Boch angle grinder to good effect, no mirrors, pegs or rear can but my Daytona can now take a 16" gap at over 40 mph. Result!!!
