Very nice bike Cezar! I feel a featured-bike gallery coming on soon I’ll be making some changes to the forums this weekend so that uploaded images are shown in the posts instead of linked as they are now.
Great choice of go-faster modifications, hardly any purely-cosmetic additions on there! Your bike is certainly bloody fast, I couldn’t believe it when you were tagging with Brian on his K2 thou the other week!
Thanks Jay ! Yes! I was surprised myself on how fast the kawa can be on the road ! Definetely the mods I did helped a lot, I can feel the difference, it’s amazing! I’m really happy… Didn’t like very much seen your K5 flying by though…
Really nice bike mate loads of nice tweaks, my 750 is completely stock, not that I’m complaining when I said to the missus I was going to buy it she just said yeah that’d be great I think you should it looks nice so I took advantage of her unbelievable state of mind and got it. Might take a while b4 I tell her I’m gettin this that and the other though.
Must be quick to keep with a thou or is that rider skill??? anyway impressive.
Anyone know any really cheap places to get mods? I looked at a Yoshi TRS full system from 58cycle.com for nearly $700 USD but I don’t how hammered I’ll get on import tax any ideas guys?
Shipping & import tax + duty will add a significant amount to the amount you pay at the checkout, but it can still be worth it sometimes, though exhausts are heavy so shipping will be pretty damn expensive that said.
A bolt-on exhaust is more than adequate for the 750 Fletch, a full-system means you run a higher risk of upsetting the fueling and requiring either a remap of the stock ECU, or a map for a Power-Commander. You see second-hand bolt-on exhaust on eBay UK quite often. I highly recommend the Akrapovic carbon bolt-on, it has a GREAT sound and looks the business. I’ve owned and run both Yoshimura tri-oval carbons and Akarapovic’s on the 750 and the Akrapovic sounds better and is lighter.
Otherwise, check out our for-sale section on the forums, there’s some items in there right now, and no doubt will get busier as time goes on. Generally bike mods are always expensive, especially for sports-bikes, so the best deals are normally for second-hand items on eBay or forums.
Cezar is a better rider than me Fletch, hence his ability to keep up easily.
Thanks fletchrgj ! Trust me mate, on this wife matters I know exacly what you mean! I bought my bike and put almost everything before bring it home and then told her I got it all on the deal… As she knows peanuts about bikes, she just bought it…rsrsrsrsr .
The bike is not even near as fast as a thousand but what happens is that you just cant push a modern 1000cc up to the limit on the roads so I can keep up because up to the level we ride it, the difference between power can’t show… Of course if Jay for example, gets feed up and decides to give throtle to his K5 I will eat his dust but he will need to reduce for trafic and roundabouts so probably I will never be more than a few bikes behing (few dozens, lol) but up to the normal fast ride I can be right there on the tail mate. I’m really happy with that, specially becouse in 4 years the amount of money I saved on the insurance premium can buy me a brand new 600… Yes, it’s that bad in London!
Cheers for the advice Jay I’ll keep that in mind, its always good to here from someone thats owned something and/or knows what they’re on about!
I know very little (mechanically) about bikes, but still love 'em. I think I’ll leave the import stuff as I imagined it get screwed over - cheers HM customs - I’ll keep my eye on the forums and ebay until I see something nice then try and sweet talk my way into getting it lol.
She’s not my wife yet Cezar - I may be mad but not insane heh heh, I suppose its the same difference though .
I don’t live that far out of London but jeez its still fairly expensive about £500 ish tpft, still for the fun and laughing out loud under the lid its worth every penny.
Flippin hell mate! 500 quid tpft??? I pay the same fully comp. plus get my scooter for free in the same policy, on the other hand if it was a 1000cc it would cost probably the double…
Bloody hell guys! This carbon fiber dash panels were the most difficult bit to get for my bike! It took 7 weeks waiting for the delivery… But, I liked it very much! I should stop modifying this bike as I will never be able to sell it…
I’d say not at present, although vering toward needing help! IMO I really don’t like too much carbon fibre on a bike, it looks too tachy but thats just me. I doubt this will be the last bit will it? lol
Ur poisoning me with Carbon fibre!! (Although I do like the look of the Akrapovic system you have) but I can’t be turned… the force of untachiness is too great! Because your bike is black I think the Carbon Fibre effect doesn’t actually look that bad considering some lighter coloured bikes I’ve seen with CF looks But still my friend STOP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!
Thou shalln’t not be tempted! Micron system, Micron sytem… no Carbon Fibre! Micron system!!! I want a Tri-Oval can actually, Yoshi is too expensive tho… settle for Blue Flame, who else do Tri-Oval??
try-oval is actually nice and blueflame can get you on matching colours is that pleases you, and it does sound very nice on your bike, I have seen before. Shouldn’t be expensive either.
The carbon cans sound better, the material makes for a deeper tone, rather than a higher-pitched sound you get as titanium/steel reverberates. The carbon cans looks great on any bike, regardless of colour. I’d do it if I were you Hennessy.
