My Honda loves the floor

Right some duche just reversed into my RR and knocked it over for the 3rd time now. Broken rear indicator, mirror, and foot peg is bent. well that’s what i can see at the moment cause it’s all wet and nasty at the moment. hopefully he’s going to be nice and pay up like he said he would. Going to the stealership on tuesday so i’ll have to get some quotes.

bummer…words fail me with things like this…accidents happen I know but sometiems people just dont see us…

Blind twats all of them.

:pinch: Bad luck mate

3rd time!? Surely that’s more than coincidence?

Absolute Bummer.

on closer inspection here is the list so far.

  1. left mirror
  2. Left rear indicator
  3. left foot peg
3 rear seat cowl has a nice scratch
  4. licence plate bracket is snapped 5 handle bar is twisted down.
5 2 inch scratch on the swing arm

that is at least what i’ve seen with my non expert eye. question is if i call my insurance do i loose no claims bonus and will i have to pay my excess or is it all his problem?

he basically reversed into it when it was parked. so no way was i at fault…

If he’ll own up it’s all his fault. Got any witnesses yet?

he did fess up to it infront of two of my employes and a guy that works in an office behind me saw it happen. do i lose my no claims though? i’m guessing i won’t have to pay the excess since it’s not my fault thought right?

You’d be claiming off his Ins company, not yours  So you shouldn’t lose your no claims

Check with your company to make sure

nice one i’ll give them a call on monday. Same thing happened last summer and the other persons insurance had to fork out £2500 for the same type of damage… lets just see if it’ll be as fast as last time though.

sorry to hear about this henry, you sure have had your fair share of back luck :ermm:

cheers just really hope i have a bike for brands hatch.

sounds like they well and truly mullered it then, push hard through your insurers

you could always see if Arnie will lend you his C90 express!

£2500 for that sort of damage is unbelievable! That’s a third the value of the bike new! Crazy sh**!

As has been said; if he’s willing to admit fault then his insurance will pay for the repairs and it’ll have no effect on your no claims. Lucky you saw him do it by the sounds of things.

Luckily it’s all minor, except for the swingarm; I’d be p****d about that mate. Maybe give the R&G swingarm bobbins a look (the ones that mount onto the axle bolts not the paddock stand bobbin mount ones) to prevent that sort of damage in future.

PS Are you booked onto the trackday? Think you said you were just planning on watching when I spoke to you last week.

yea i 'm just going to watch the fun…hopefully;) and yes you’re right i’ll be getting the other r&g bits asap. Glad i had the frame sliders on so there’s less damage than there could have been:cool:

Gah !!

It is said these things come in threes, lets hope thats the last of it for you

It’ll be hard work, but you won’t lose your no claims. He’s admitted fault. I had the same thing happen to me when a rubbish truck knocked my Bandit over.

However, in ALL circumstances, you must make sure every conversation with insurance companies starts and ends with the sentences “No sir, we acknowledge you won’t lose your no claims as this is NOT your fault and you are only involving us as a company out of legal obligation to keep us informed, NOT because you are claiming anything on your policy”. They record everything these days, so you must get them to say that ON RECORD, so there’s evidence to the effect. Otherwise the knobs will try and do you over…

The stealth look is obviously just asking for trouble. Respray it dayglow orange.

THREE TIMES?

That’s pant’s mate, sorry to hear this.

Has it been in the same spot?

Just get the left foot peg on and get booked up on the trackday mate. If you’re unlucky enough to come off and do any more damage to the bike, just blame it on the guy who knocked it over and add it to the list of repairs!
