My Bike's not well :(

Evening all … my 2003 Yamaha R6 (fuel injected model) is not well !

Initially it threw an engine check light … then gave error code 46.

I got the bike home, and changed the battery for a new one, took it for a spin it was fine for 2 miles, then the dash just went blank, and the bike was ‘chuggin’ then almost lost all it’s power!?!?

It then all lit back up again like a chrismas tree … and I was able to get home.

Now home, the bike won’t start back up again, and it has given me an error code of 11

Aparently, from research 11 means “cylinder identification sensor failure”

Anyone have any ideas, know anyone in East London who can look at it for me etc ?

We are supposed to have a weekend of SUN, and my bike will be left sitting in the garage !!

I have absolutely no idea at all, except to say, did you get wet today or yesterday?

May be a damp thing. could be fine tommorow. Alternatively I could be completely wrong!

Looks like a camshaft thingy ma doogit. Having the mechanical nuances of a 3 year old, I have no idea what that means… I notice theres no mention of error 46, and searches reveal nuffing. Take it to a yammy dealer.

Not very helpfull am I? Sorry

Bike didn’t get wet … it’s weird why it’s just decided to do it all of a sudden !

And as for Rossi … I’ve heard that one already ! lol

The cam sensor should be easy enough to change, on mine it’s bolted into the cam cover, not sure how much they cost as never had to buy one.

Right, well I’ve been let down by someone who could ‘apparently’ get it fixed … can anyone recommend a mobile mechanic … that knows the R6 … .and can fix my bike ?
