As much as many of you find it funny that u dont understand me most of the time, it can get really infuriating when your trying to explain something to someone, and theyve no bleeding idea!
Was in PC World at the weekend, now im sorry if anyone works there, im sure you know your stuff, but everytime ive been in that place, no one is ever around, and those who are do not have a clue…
After picking up something of the shelf, and being told at checkout, its 33%more in cost than what was displayed on shelf, i went to ask someone else to check the prices. They went to lift something else of the shelf, completely different to what i wanted, by which time i told him he didnt have a clue wot he was on about, told him to stick it, and marched out with steam coming outa my ears.
Drove 10 miles to another PCWORLd, bought one, came home and it doesnt fit!
Brought it back next day, and spent about 10 mins trying to explain my name and address, in the end telling him to give me a pen so i can write it down…
The thing is, i felt like i was the one being interrogated, never mind the fact i was the customer!!
I’m fine with Irish accents (both north and south) due to going there every summer till my teens.
I really struggle with Scots accent though, many years ago used to work for Debenhams and we had calls coming in from stores all over the place. On a few occasions had to put the Scot calls through to colleagues as it became embarrassing asking the caller to repeat themself for the 4th time .
And then there was the job interview with the bloke form Paisley, I could have died of embarrassment.
its not!! my dad was irish, limerick born aka stab city:w00t: i still have family over there, alot were born there and live here in england now.
im a fitzpatrick:D and am damn proud of my fathers culture:) i look like an irishman, have a name like an irishman…and if i try i can sound like one!(northern accent, southern, cork ,dublin all of 'em… almost!)…fully qualified plastic paddy!
