Mudpluggers Ball - Off-roading & BBQ in Wales - 12/13 May 2012

Hi all,

As some of you know I joined GlobalEnduro for an amazing trip to Cambodia in January. GlobalEnduro do enduros in many adventurous parts of the world, some almost purely for charity - raising lots of money.

They have a popular annual event called the Mudpluggers Ball, held near Llandovery in Wales on the weekend of 12 & 13 May. Its partly for a re-union, partly for training experience for people new to enduros - and mostly just lots of fun.

I’ve heard good things, so I’m going, and they have a few places left - so let me know if interested, or get in touch directly with them.

There’s a few ways to attend :-

• Run what you brung - just bring your own off-road bike to ride on some specially permitted welsh trails and forestry
• Training sessions - either novice, or more advanced - including bike hire.

There’s also an evening bash, complete with BBQ. There’s a few options for accommodation too.

I am going to the Ball !!!

I will be leaving Hitchin ( Near Luton ) Sat morning and heading out westward to pick up the A40, plan to leave at 8.00 am ish.

I think I’m going down Friday night. Not sure if staying in a hotel or at some friends on Friday, but want to be there early to make the most of it all

Are you doing “run what you brung”?

PS - I’ve since signed up for Global’s new 2-week Africa Motorbike Safari in October … should be a good one!

Mobile signal was awful up there, meant to give you a buzz - but great fun

I hung out with Craig and Tamsin of Black Desert Training - who gave me a bit of extra tuition. Its so addictive!

Getting to put the wheelie school lessons to practice jump over some of the potholes :hehe:
