Sometimes ships, sometimes land based, none of them very challenging or stimulating at the moment though

I’m on MSN although not much of a chatterbox on there. You tend to run out of things to say pretty quick, and the “hi, how r u, wuu2” conversations drive me mad. Nothing wrong if the conversation then progresses on to something worth talking about but most people seem content to leave it at that, and never use a word of English making it all very cryptic :doze:
If anyone feels like saying hi on there, or just boosting their contact list to proove they’re popular

Don’t mean to cause offense, but I probably will so let’s say “sod it” now but my brief forrays into MSN makes me think there IS, perhaps, a decent argument for closing down the internet.
All and any of the following should have been shot at birth: AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Hotmail. And while I’m at it, although I use them (as that’s what’s been set up, as here) web-forums suck big-time too. Mailing-lists or far better newsgroups are just as effective, and don’t involve bloody HTML and all the waste of resources.
There have always been more posts per day on uk.rec.motorcycles than there have been here.
I dont know whether this still works as it is now blocked from my work, but give it a try.

Better than msn etc… for group chatting without all the “bots” etc…
I post up last year sometime about it, initially was quite good, but the novelty wore off quite quickly.
My work have blocked that
