Parking by original bikes was fine, you would be able to get to either side of the bike moving in sideways. This fellow was basically putting the bikes on top of each other to squeeze his in. Not on. Not your property, don’t touch!
This is one of the reasons I don’t ride into work anymore. If the scum don’t steal it, our fellow so called bikers will leave sone mew scrathes/dents on it 
blady annoying messing with other peoples bikes
even if they have parked like a mumpty, those nobbers should leave other people’s property alone
I have managed to organise off street parking for my P&J now. Secured underground parking is bliss. I’ve had three bikes damaged due to other people moving mine or just ramming their POS bikes into a non existant space.
have had access to secure underground parking for a few years now at work and it really is great but can also just chain my bike to a drain pipe on the main office concourse and have the entire 1st floor watch it and enjoy its shape. :w00t:
The reception girls love it when i rev the bike and the windows rattle :hehe:
It’s going to be murder when we move in September and only the big cheeses get into the new car park…
Reckon i’ll get the train or buy an old pooper rather than leave my 10 in a bay to get shunted, scratched or nicked.
if it is not your property don’t touch it, couldn’t agree more… But necessary when two bikes have been moved on top of yours, so only way out is to move them.
This really does wind me up happens to me daily I come back and some pr*ck has shifted a moped into the side of my bike:angry:. The door man in our building had to come get me a few weeks back as some plank has tried to move my GSXR 600 and set my alarm off while trying to squeeze in some monster of a Harley he was on.
The guys with panniers on their BMW’s also wind me up, they park so close you can’t straighten up you bike from the side stand:crazy:. Don’t know what off-road safari they are driving thought each day while on route to the city (hence having fully loaded panniers) but would be interesting to find out:).
Or ride your own POS into central London.
This is like expecting to have your own private underground carriage. “London: God’s way of telling you NOT to park an R1 on the street.”
Is it mopeds, or Harleys, or BMWs, or people with panniers in general? Or is it anyone who isn’t exactly like you? Thing I love most about biking is that we’re all one big happy family. Fight amongst ourselves, why not?
Haha nah not at all, just venting some frustration as it is an everyday occurrence. I understand everyone needs to get parking we all have jobs to go to but some consideration for others never hurt.
Agree 100%. It’s just that (from my biased scooter rider’s view) it’s always geared bikes that are parked in my topbox. 'spose we’ve all got our prejudices, me included.
(One thing that does get me though, is why don’t people use their centre stands - when they have them - when parking in bays? Firstly, why would you want your bike to be less stable than possible, and secondly, don’t you realise that leaning it takes up more room?)
I’ve never had the joy of a centre stand on any of my bikes.
Ye defiantly would be useful if all bikes had them but sports bikes tend not to unfortunately, tight gits only give you a side stand. Presume it’s to keep the racing look.
having muppets park so close on either side of me that getting off the center stand is near impossible is one reason i dont always use it 
All this discussions gives rise to me saying: “We need more motorbike parking bays in London”
I say get rid of car paking bays for more bike bays.

And most scooters (other than maxis) either don’t have side stands or have a spring loaded side stand due to the lack of electrical interlock which makes the stand useless as one knock by the bike next to you in the bay and the bike goes over. As a result, when I had a vespa and had to use the centre stand, even in the office bike park, most days a sports bike was either parked leaning across the footwell or was parked across the front of my bike leaving no room to roll my bike off the centre stand.
They need somewhere to put their corned beef sarnies that mummy made for them, and placed lovingly wrapped in cling film, into an action man themed lunch box, with an orange and a carton of five alive.
