Motrax Deluxe or Stormex?

Anyone bought a Motrax Deluxe bike cover? Can’t decide on that or the Oxford Stormex. I bought a Motrax a few years ago and it literally fell to pieces but I’m thinking they might be better made now. I’ve been super pleased with my Stormex but at 20 odd quid cheaper I’m thinking I might go for the Motrax. Especially as it’s a present!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I just bought the R&G Superbike cover. Link to Ride Magazine’s groupt test from Dec 2008, where it was awared best buy. Massive upgrade from the tarpaulin sheet I had before!

Both Alex and I have the Oxford Stormex covers. Mine is the older one of the two and both of us have had no problems with them. Alex has exhausts on either side of his bike and I have an underseat exhaust, neither bikes have burnt the covers.

I would recommend the Stormex covers

+1 I realy like the front and rear quick release clips under neath that hold it on. On the other hand the Oxford Stormex has only a single central clip and I’ve found mine has a tendancy to soak up water if its touching the ground.

My Stormex soaked up water too, meant the inside was sopping wet after a heavy downpour.

Curtis had the R&G one for his 675, was a very good cover, clip to secure underneath and a velco flap at the side so you could hook up to an optimate charger, only down side to his really was that it had faded a lot over the years but thats minor and it still done it’s job

I got the Oxford Rainex (it’s the silver one) as I thought the Stomex was too dear. It does exactly what is say on the tin and has lasted me two years now. When I look for a replacement I would consider the Rainex again as it has done such a cracking job.

R&G cover is my pick. It’s very light and does the trick.

Another fan of the R&G one. Has faded a bit in the sun but still in great shape after a year or so.

I have the R&G one also for the Gixx. Nice and tight fit , never blown off and can secure a chain through the front or rear wheel to hold it onto !

You telling me you’ve never let one rip!! :stuck_out_tongue:

D , for a young lady , your humour is very lavatorial !

Why thank you  Could have been worse, I could of made a joke about you having never been blown off :stuck_out_tongue:

No I know why you were out of breath yesterday !!

+1 for the Rainex. I couldn’t find the R&G ones anywhere so I happened to stumble across the oxford one at the infinity in gt portland street. Certainly a LOT better than the cheapo ebay jobbie I had. It’s lined on the inside which does the paintwork good since you’re not scratching it with the nylon or whatnot.
