I’m not here trying to advertise them but I’ve been seeing some adverts on Gumtree for motorcycle breakdown recoveries.
I think it could be a handy number to have in the phone book for those who don’t have BD cover.
This guy does it for £60
This guy makes competitive quotes.
Anyone tried this sort of thing before?
The guy may well be a honest trader, but I for one, would not trust anything from Gumtree.
Surely at £60 you’re already heading towards the price that the major players in this “insurance” game are charging? And they are offering more than simple recovery.
I used V Barcoo once when both tyres had been slashed and I need the bike recovered from Croydon and taken to Beckenham.
Charged me £30, which I though was OK at the time
