Out of interest, is any one going?
I’ve never been, so if any one has feedback it would be great.
I’m pretty sure i will be able to go, but time of work isn’t completely sorted yet.
I was planing on going on one of the weekend days. 22, 23, 29 or 30. Can’t do it a week day.
Another thought is, will the weather “allow” a bike trip up there. I know the good old dress for the occasion :). It’s riding conditions i have i mind.
I would suggest planning ahead what you want to see, if you just wander from stall to stall, you miss out on half of it.
take the bike by all means, I think they have indoor parking for bikes?
bear in mind if you buy some paddock stands etc, you might find getting them home again quite tricky!
There’s loads of indoor bike parking, and I think it’s free - it’s in an adjacent hall, essentially. It probably wont be poor enough weather to rule out riding, but I don’t think we really get that in the UK anyway. It is just M1 & M6, though.
If you’ve anything you particularly want to see, get there shortly after opening (especially if you’re going at the weekend) and skip the rush. It gets fairly packed.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the new VFR800F, they could have made it so much more, and the price compare to it’s nearest competitor the Z1000SX is just too much. Not sure what the major difference is between the old crossrunner and the new a part from the revised V4 engine.
The bike that I do actually what to have a good look at is the BMW R1200RS.
Also interest in what KTM are going to be offering next year, rumour has it they have a new 990 engine in the pipeline.
I’m heading on up there on the Sunday. There’s nothing that I actually need as I’ve pretty much bought new everything thing this year and I’ now just a little bit skint, but it won’t stop me lusting after all the shiny, shiny, pretty things and geegaws
Yeah Im going, prob on the bike but will be going from further up not London, done it on the bike the last few years, plenty of bike parking inside and a helmet and leather store to leave hands free to purchase. On the bike have always just ridden in with no queues but then went in the car mid show one day few years back and was no queue either. Place is mahoosive so would agree with the plan ahead trick.
