Went there today to book my bike in but looks like hes gone
Is there any ‘friendly’ MOT people in South London/ Surrey?

Did you need reflector etc? Ive got a full AKRO on mine which lovingly states not for road use. Whaddya reckon?

Well you’ve still got that 660, that’s fairly amazing - was the epitome of bling when I first saw it - then, as I recall,you spent the next couple of years slinging it down the road at every opportunity! :w00t:

Erm right. Yes I did have reflector, think that’s a must. Dunno about the Akra - presumably Fab used to let that through? Does it say in plain view that it’s not for road use?

Paul from (ex) Bracken still does MOTs where Bracken used to be.

But if you want an MOT station with a propper “No questions asked” attitude, there’s a place opposite Lee Green station (Burned Ash Road, I think). I took my XT660 with full akro system there as I was worried. He didn’t switch the ignition …

I’d recommend the London MOT Centre, 17 Cranmer Rd SW9 6EJIf you need a lenient eye then say they were recommended to you by FWR - I did, coz I was, and they overlooked my illicit (6" x 4") reg plate - the guy said as much: if it hadn’t been an FWR recommendation it would have been a fail. (That was a couple of weeks ago btw)

re the original question, does anyone know where fabrice is, and if he’s still running a repair/rebuild shop? I miss the guy and would like to take my bike to him if he’s around

I’ve also been trying to track Fabrice down - I remember getting a text from him about 12m ago when he moved with all the new workshop details, but i lost it and his number.

Just managed to find his number and have spoken to him - he’s just lost the new workshop too (not sure why), and all his kit is stored in a container in Southfields. But he’s still semi-open for business (he’s dropping a new battery round to my home tomorrow) - his number is 07971 821136.
