I rode about in shorts, a sleeveless top and trainers on the weekend. It actually worked out less comfortable than I intended as there is no cushioning against the tank from the leathers I normally wear. Also, I rode from LA to Las Vegas and back last year (2 x 6 hour trips) on a Harley in just a pair of shorts, trainers, and a stupid bowl helmet. That **was ** pretty comfortable and made me feel like a big man.
I therefore conclude an R6 is not meant to be ridden casually, ever, but a Harley is. So here is an appropriate strapline:
“Build bridges between Harleys and sports bikes - beardless.”
you should have ridden in Astar underwear!

What were you searching for when you found this? :hehe:
saw one of the most ridiculous attempts of riding gear today along with some pretty dangerous riding… i’ll admit to popping on jeans and maybe just a tshirt to go to the shops before i got ma draggins and summer jacket but today a guy on an r1 pulled up in front of me at the lights onj juncton 23 of the m25 in one of these new 2 piece addidas suits, no gloves, looked pretty kool :w00t: then followed him jump the amber and nearly get squished by a 40 tonne articulated car transporter then whizzz he was off at well over a ton arouund the m25, now im no saint :Whistling: but if ya gonna do that then well at least be wearing some decent gear
What about 6th on a Hayabusa? Where are you going to use it?
Autobahn? :Whistling:
…To save fuel?
On my Blackbird I use 6th for anything from 50 mph upwards if I don’t need any power at the moment and I just wanna chug along… you can always downshift 3 gears in one go if the need arises :Whistling:
reverse also falls into that category of gears
when i was about to start learning, i was told part of the test was a three point turn, involving use of 1st gear and reverse which got me slightly worried about how stable the bike would be going in reverse
