He’s right about the ‘no brainer’.
5000 shifts for $20 ! Cheap at half the price
i want one
Thats a fugging good idea! ( ) I could add gold and diamond adornments for your shifter skinz too!:w00t:
Sounds good although i think they should design 1 which protects your trainer/shoe when you fall off… Dont worry about your foot/ankle though
OK so for trainers, this is a pants idea, as they offer a grand total of no ankle protection. At all.
However, I can see a use for these. I often ride to cadets, and a huge pain in the buttox is that I have to wear bike boots, and then change into very similar combat boots. I can’t wear the leather boots as the gearshift would wear through the polish and get me a large-scale bollocking. So something like this to protect the polish on my boots in high-ankle, sturdy leather boots could be useful…
or be even cheaper! put a sock over your trainer!
and lets not get into the debate of ‘oh you shouldnt wear trainers’ blah blah its up to the rider at the end of the day.
He’s right about the ‘no brainer’.
oddly enough thats the bit that stuck out the most:P
A nice, but in some ways sad, friend reckons that he does about 200 shifts each way on his commute from Essex, through East London and the Blackwall Tunnel to South East London. (Yes, he’s counted.)
So that will be about $10 a week for him. You can get some very nice motorcycle boots for $500 a year.
i get the same thing, but i wont ride in just cs95 trousers, so ill need to take boots of to change anyway, allthough i do have a storeroom at my disposal to leave my kit
Wrist Sweat band is just as good if not better.Tho I’d only recommend wearing it on the plastic waterproof overboots (as the army have for there boots) that don’t have protection from the gear lever.
If I ever see anone wearing these I will simply ask them “what possessed you?!”.
Touratech sell a few items that might qualify as the “most ridiculous motorcycle gadgets ever”, here’s a few from their extensive range -
How about, the waterproof toilet roll holder, at only £26, essential I’d have thought -
…or the indispensible BMW horn button protector, a bargain at just under £17, how did we ever manage before?
It’s all well and good for your shoe but as soon as you come off good bye your foot, be safe wear proper gear.
feet are over rated.
Who needs them anyway lol
My Christmas list has been started !
LOL, anyone want the gear shift patch from my boots as I never use it, you could stick it directly onto your flash trainers…
Hehe…
I just loved the way you started the post:
Most ridiculous motorcycle “gadget” ever …?
and ended it:
Available in a choice of colours here…
hehe… you really want them, don’t you?
