More slabside stuff...

hi people. Want to fully re-build the engine on the slabside when i get it.

want to bore it out to 884cc and upgrade stuff like crank / cams but still have a reliable bike. Looking at using the JE Piston kit for this.

What parts would you all recommend i use and what can be upgraded?

And should i stick with standerd plugs or go up a number ont he plugs?
Will be using irridium NGK plugs. thanks and S&B Cone Air Filters.

Thanks

IMHO for the wonga and the time involved in upping the motor to 884cc, just get a 1200 Bandit lump off ebay and use the 750 engine to prop open the garage door ;)…Mmmmmmmm 7/11 Slabby Pie!!!

i dont want a 7/11 tho. i just want to upgrade the 7fiddy lump

Alot of dosh for little gain IMHO on a 750, between 500 and 700 sovs will get you 1157cc’s of Bandit motor…size matters :stuck_out_tongue:

Wont that make it a 7/12 :D:)

I would go with a bandit lump to, or the 11F lump

Yep dont believe wot the Mrs says, size defo matters :D:)

make you right mate…them 7/11 so yesterday. every terry spart and exile have got them:D

It all makes sense now, I’ve allways wonderd why they were called 1100 Bandits :D:P

What Exile is forgetting to tell you is I have huge stocks of genuine parts new in their packets for slabsiders, mainly engine parts from main bearings to pistons including full on race parts so let me know what you need or want and if you have the cash maybe we can sort something out.

Never understood why everyone insists on going the B12 route. When it comes down to it it may be a more powerful engine with the potential for some serious tuning but it is a big slow revving engine compared to the 750. Especially when you realise you can carve over a kilo in weight off of the crank to make it rev even easier.

Since when did Spart or Exile have 7/11’s?

I dont know about Spart but try reading my " 5 steps to 7/11 heaven " thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Saw your scoot at NEC today… verrrrry nice:cool:

An engine and a frame?

Obviosly reading isnt one of your forte’s m8

To go with the frame and engine there’s… watercooled tank, 636 subframe/seat unit, Busa forks, Buell S1 mudguard,OZ racing mag wheels. PVM cast iron discs, 6 pot calipers, one off yokes, Busa shock n linkages, busa arm with 10" extentions. This will be rolling by next weekend, over xmas the motors gonna be sortid and i’ll build a new loom, every thing gonna get painted n polished during the sh%te months of Jan and Feb ready to be taxed n tested when the sun comes back out

The only thing thats debatable is when the sun comes out…
