On Monday, it will be three years to the day since we lost Martin (Pimlico Pilot). I plan to ride down to the site of the collision to lay some flowers. I’m happy to go alone, but if anyone wanted to join me they’d be more than welcome to come along.
Turns out that I have to drive up to Nottingham for the day (work emergency), leaving Sunday evening. I will likely ride down in the evening on Monday, but can’t say when. Ruddy work.
Can’t get out tomorrow, so I’ve been out on a bit of a rememberance ride while thinking of our lost friend today around Martins old stomping grounds in the southdowns. Very hard to believe that three years have past as the memories are still so very fresh… He may be gone but certianly not forgotten
Sorry I can’t be around for this tomorrow. Monday is going to a Hell of a day at work! As Geoff says, difficult to believe it is three years, but it is.
The main thing is that we all remember him, whether or not we go to the site of his accident. Those who knew him will never forget him anyway - you couldn’t.
Perhaps we could all post something nice tomorrow - maybe in the Monday Morning thread??
That sounds good Chris. I’m stuck up in Nottingham and not even sure Ill make it home to london tomorrow evening, depends on how work goes. I’m sure as you say we’ll all be thinking about him…it’s very hard to believe it’s been three years.
Tim, if you do make it down then place some extra flowers from me, I will come up and see you and give you the money (and erm your Halfords card which I still have!).
