im looking to get my nokia 6230 unlocked, … would anyone know the best place?. i’ve seen ebay selling the software by means of a simple emailed code, but is there any where on the net you can find and do this for free?, … so i’ve heard.
It seems a lot of high-streets have phone shops that’ll do it while you wait. We recently unlocked one in Sheppards Bush for a tenner, done in five minutes.
Pm me ure email darryl i have a crux calculator that works out the codes for certain phones.
Doesnt always work, as some phones require cable interaction to be unlocked, but worth a shot.
If u do go down the cable route, by an RS232 (serial) data cable not a USB one, as the USB one doesnt have the ability to unlock a phone/flash the firmware due to the way 90% of unlocking software is writted (COM port specific)
Anyone know what the proceedure is when phones have been blocked by the service provider,i have just had a phone i found returned to me after it was not claimed by the owner and i would like to use it .
I don’t think you can Buck, not unless the owner tells the telco to unlock it. Though I’m no expert on this, but recently had to get a phone locked after some chav nicked mine from work when we moved offices.
