Missing my poor R6

I am sooo missing my R6 after my crash last week, waiting to hear if the insurance company will agree to have her repaired  or written off :crying:

She is with Sudden Impact, I have heard good things about them so hopefully she is in good hands, it just seems to be taking a while. Frustrating.

Were you injured?

My Suzuki got written off last year when I got hit by a car and my leg got smashed up.

The last time I saw the bike was when I was sitting on it just before the crash - then I went flying and heard it hit the ground behind me.

I was taken away in an ambulance and the bike taken away on a recovery truck.

It went to a breakers and now has probably been reincarnated as various bits in lots of other bikes.

Which is kinda Zen when you think about it.

I have a hairline fracture to me knee, I hope she doesnt go to the breakers, I don’t remember anything after touching my brake then the next thing on the other side of the road sliding on my front. Once I had got up I looked at the bike then started crying, she doesn’t look to bad but as she is 2003 the insurance company may say its to much to repair - mainly fairing damage.

Yeah - they will probably write it off unfortunately. If you think you can repair the bike yourself economically - you can buy it back off the insurance company etc. Never done this so don’t know the ins and outs.

Hope the knee gets better.

Awww sad for you babe:crying: always horrible to go through but look on the brightside your better off not on a bike for the week or so;) its to cold to enjoy anyway:D

True it would be worse if it was the summer.

Sudden impact are 3 roads away from where i live(if the one in dagenham is the one your taking about) and i’ve seen some of the bikes going in there (not pretty) and i’ve seen them parked outside of there a few weeks later looking like new, so i would say your bike is in good hands

Yes it is the one - thats good to hear, look out for my baby - black/Silver 03 R6 with damaged front.
