missed chance for bike theives....

Im either very lucky or my bikes so cack that no one wants to steal it…

Yesterday i met up with my brother at his house in chelsae. parked the bike in a bay on a busy road and went in for a coffe and a chat, then out to dinner for 4 hours.

About 8pm on the way back i decided to check on the bike…arrrrhhhhhhhhh!

key in the ignition.

this isnt the first time either.

left it in for 3 hours when i went to the gym in shep bush.

think i need to tie my keys to me…

luck

I have one of those extenible key chain things now for my keys as I did the same and very nearly lost the bike

think i need one.

my luck will run out sooner or later

Perhaps the bike thieves thought your bike was part of a sting operation and avoided it! :w00t::hehe:

thats what my bro said.

This brings me to a great idea:

  1. Fit a brand new Ducati/R1/Fireblade with a remote radio operated kill switch
  2. Leave the keys in the ignition
  3. Hide out of sight with a few mates, a couple of table legs and pepper spray
  4. ???
  5. Profit!

Could be fun for the whole family.

I keep leabving my keys in. Luckily, I normally have a disk lock on and the key is on my house keys.

Believe it mate…it will run out one day !! Used to park bikes outside our house, at first we had them chained together and to the gate posts? Then we kind of got lazy and stopped chaining them together, less hassle etc…got away with it for a while, then one day, one bike gone and the other on its side where they must have been disturbed…now bikes are way out of sight, in the back of the house, locked, stocked, and barrelled !!
