Any way well done with your website lots of great topics and piccies.
If you do look at my online pictures and see us in Merica we swop bikes with guys in Los Angeles it makes it alot cheaper and you get chance to tour the usa very cheaply and it is so cheap ,our best trip was Los Angeles to Vancouver canada and back in 7 days of riding we took the scenic route and knocked up 4700 miles. ok the 1664 is taking effect now.I love my ST1100 scooter its got more plastic that a speedfight,
PS did i mention how cheap it was to swop bikes in the usa as apposed to hiring.
Hi there Dogslow, welcome to the site. If by a mirror-visor you mean one with a reflective outer appearance, then as long as it doesn’t reduce the incoming light by more than 50%, it’ll be legal, but I think the only sure way to be sure is if it as the European ‘E’ legal stamping on it.
The reality is though that cops very rarely bother pestering people for tinted or similar visors, and if they do (I’ve never heard of someone being done for one in London, personally), then it’s a £30 fixed penalty, non-endoresable offence.
Your link doesn’t work?
yep a mirror visor is wot I have just bought,I got it to go to Barcelona I live about 45 minutes south of the ferry at North Shields,( to Amsterdam) I drive hgv for a living and was concerned that if I was pulled it would effect the license I may just use a clear one till I get off the boat.

1664 dont you just love it
sorry about the link here is the main link to my site have a look from there

You won’t have any trouble with that visor over here Dogslow, it looks fine. We all ride around with tinted visors and never get hassled. I think they’re more than likely going to be even less concerned abroad as it’s so hard for them to prosecute foreigners. Enjoy your ride to Barcelona, it’s one of my favourite cities, beautiful!
Hey Steve! NIce to see you here mate!
If when you come back from your trip you need a rest in London you know that Madeline and I will be glaad having you two in our house.

Welcome to the site
Hiya Cezar,
I got the visor to reflect the heat a little bit and look cool of course, thnx for the offer of staying at your place on the return. We , sorry this is how I have planned the trip.I am getting the ferry on the friday night (July29)Newcastle Amsterdam arrive 9 am next morning.I then have till 1.30pm on the Monday to get to Barcelona airport to meet Elaine who is gonna fly down with Easyjet from Newcastle. Then we gonna stay near Barcelona for three nights and then wind our way back up towards the nurburgring so I can take me scoooter(ST1100) and do a few laps and eventually we are getting the ferry from Amsterdam back into Newcastle (North Shields). The reason we are doing it that way is I get to play all the way down there and then I have to be sensible some of the way back LOL.
On about the route south from Amsterdam I have two ideas one is Amsterdam Brussels Metz Dijon Marseille and then into Spain the other is Amsterdam Lille Paris orleans Toulousse and then over the mountains to Barcellona any way got 4 weeks to change my mind.
Let us know how the trip goes. As much info about the ring as possible as well please, apparently lots of work done on it over the winter months. Going out end of July to rag it around there again - hopefully no crashes this time.
Enjoy your trip, sounds like a blast.
You are welcome Steve! But we still waiting for you to come down south with your bike… Ops, Alaister wants to see Bobby as well so, you will have to get yourself a trailer…lol

Never had prob with mine either.
Another NE lad, good on ya and enjoy the roads.

oh, and nice pic of ton up. Didn’t know Pan’s went that fast without camera blurring shimmy or blue lights.
If you’re worried carry a clear one with you, I always do now but I’ve never been stopped for a dark visor and never heard of it happening in London. I usually carry it as I know I’ll be going home when its dark, or it’ll probably rain - and I’m a visor shut person so prefer the clear one.
Had a few words mentioned about the exhaust tho
never been stopped for my visor (blue mirror) even when they pulled me over for my plate being in the wrong place at 11pm,
