Mid life crisis. . .

Has anyone else had the experience of their 30’s seeming to go by much faster than their 20’s?The decade from twenty to thirty seemed to take quite a long time and a lot happened.

My thirties have gone by like a f*cking express train though!

I know more and can do more than I could in my 20’s and am more emotionally mature than I was then - but somehow I feel smaller and less sure about things - like i’ve lost my mojo or something - I guess this is maturity and experience killing off the ego.

Whatever it is, it feels strange.

Am I about to do a Reggie Perrin and leave my Alpinestars jacket on the beach?

I need to get my mojo back. . .Any suggestions that don’t involve monkey glands. . .

this was once explained to me and I think makes perfect sense.

So basically when your 10 - 1 year is = to 10% of your life so far

When your 20 1 year = 5% of your life so far

and so on so by the time your in your 30s a year is getting a smaller and smaller part of your whole life…

that basically how I look at it now as I will be 30 next year and I’m think where the hell did the past decade go!

Personally I am quite looking forward to my mid life crisis, think of all the bikes, cars, holidays etc

That or the fast women. :w00t:

crikey, thanks for pointing that out to me, hadnt given it any thought so far, the 40’s must go bloody quick then!!

I AM NEARLY 40 DONT WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT ATM

I think at 40 you are ment to buy one of these !

I refuse to grow up, so therefore will never reach mid life, so no crisis :stuck_out_tongue:

aren’t the panniers too small? What do you do for a whole weeekend? hehehe, at 40 you think of everything, and are prepared for all emergencies!!

If I had the money, I would buy one right now.

Yes but that’s because you’re a 50yr old trapped in a 30 something’s body Kev!! :stuck_out_tongue:

how do you know when your mid life crisis is? you dont know when your gonna die!!

you can have it when ever you want , have one every year just in case !!!

I reckon i just had mine, at 29/30 I bougt a Subaru and a stupidly quick bike. God knows what i will do when i hit 40 !

I’ve wondered what I’m gonna do for my mid-life crisis in 2 months time, any suggestions?

In the past year, I’ve bought a new bike, formed a new band, grown my hair longer and got a huge new telly.

I’m only just 30! This doesn’t bode well for 50…

Although they seemed to last for ages while I was going through them, in hindsight, my 20s were over in the blink of an eye. Twenty-four was the best year, I reckon.

I did my mid life at 40 ish, I wanted to leave everything I had and start all again…I spent 12 months of being a complete twat to my ex and 5 years later she got her own back and went off with another man…best thing she ever did but didnt know that at the time…

mine was triggered by the fact that I had made it financially and yet money doesnt buiy what I wanted…I like the struggle, the drive to get there…not the being there…so once i was there there was nothing for me to strive for…I downsized, went from 120 plus empolyess to 20 and I feel much better with my little struggling company than i ever did with my much bigger companies a few years ago…and the good news is we are growing again but i have it all under control this time…

And I can confirm that as your age increases, time does travel faster relative to what you get done every day and what you want to do every day…

when I turned 40, hired a GixerThou for the weekend and blasted off to Cornwall, then bought a TL1000s and now have an R1. Body of a 40 something, hair of a 60yrold, brain of a juvenile.

IN THE PAST 16 WEEKS I HAVE GOT OLDER JUST BECAUSE OF MY GRAND DAUGHTER.ROLL ON WHEN THE OTHER DAUGHTER HAS ONE:w00t:
