Met Police succumb to peer pressure

From itv.com :

Traffic officers from the Metropolitan Police are the latest to get in hot water for creating a Harlem Shake video.

It comes after Surrey Police released a version for Comic Relief, and follows several others by fire services and the armed forces. In a statement, the Met said:

“The MPS does not condone unprofessionalism in the workplace. We expect high standards from all our staff. Appropriate misconduct procedures have been taken regarding those involved and the matter is now closed.”

Aren’t those bikes/trikes the ones that the PCSO’s use? Never thought of them as being professional anyway…more like trained monkeys in hi-vis jackets

They are PCSO’s and as usual what was a private video…the rest of the world gets to see.

All fun is banned. Shame, that was a good effort. Great effects with the lights.

Are they going to be suspended ? GOOD!
Put real police on the road instead of almost-police force. The are as useful for the public as me in my new hi viz vest.

I don’t mind fun, I do mind waste of air.

And they have as much will to keep it secret as Kim Kardashian with her sex tape…

Is all about “look, we are cool!” statement, is not even close to fun

hahah hilarious

so funny that i farted out loud

I’d check to make sure you didn’t follow through.

Blimey, one resigned over this?!??

That is bullshit. I expect win lottery one day, not playing at all but still expect.

Little be OTT maybe? But where do you draw the line?

I don’t think that their behaviour will cause people to think that PCSO’s are idiots. I guess this ship is sealed long time ago.
Maybe they should look for “unprofessionalism in the workplace” when they are on the road… so at work, not when day “dancing”. I don’t agree with PCSO’s in general but on this occasion I believe this is not the most unprofessional thing which they did.

The only reprimand they need is for being late to the party.

LOL thats funny , some people need to liven up no harm making work fun.

Damn people get the freakin stick out of your a$$es and chill. For once I thought the police did some good work and they get disciplined for it?

If you g on youtube and put Harlem Shake you get so many others doing the same, obviously the Dutch and the rest of the world have a different sense of humor than the Brits, enjoy

I don’t see how what they choose to do in their lunch break has anything to with us. They got up and went to work that day, which is more than can be said for some of us. Probably spent the morning listening to the darling British public telling them how useless they are, so I’m impressed they managed to raise a smile.
When did we lose our sense of humour? Frankly I think it’s disgusting that anyone resigned.

Fair play to the one who resigned ,that’s what i would have done rather than listen to what managment had to say .
