So the memorial ride is this coming sunday the 5th of August.
In short the ride is from the A10 past Enfield to Southend. Its a ride in memory of fallen commorades. We ride in 3 groups to suit different styles/speeds of riding (not excessive speeds obviously - kinda defeats the purpose). £5 to join in which goes to charity and its fun day out fondly remembering our fallen friends.
In particular, I will be remebering a fallen LB member, Ali aka Full Throttle and i hope you can come and remember a member of the community. I know many of you are planning going to WSB and Streetfighter sunday at ace. Those going to streetfigher sunday can do both and going by last years police presence, it wont be a bad idea. So come along.
Meeting at Silver Ball around 9:30am (brekkie there for most) and the first group will leave SB at 11am. More details on this thread:
I’ll do the first bump for you, mate. As it’s a week later this year it’s a bit more difficult for me but I’ll try. I probably won’t make it to the Silver Ball (tell Weaver not to drop her new Suzuki cos I won’t be there this time) but I may be able to pick up one of the groups as you come past Chelmsford or just meet you at Southend for a while - I know where you’ll be after all!
Take care, ride safe and I hope it’s a success, see you Sunday with a bit of luck.
Meet at Silver Ball on the A10 at 9:30am (enough time to have brekkie there. The first group leaves SB at 11am.
A10 to roundabout for A120.
A120 to A1184 (Sawbridgeworth).
A1184 to Harlow.
At Harlow take A414 - towards Chelmsford. Fingers crossed there is nothing on at North Weald or some filtering will be required)
Chelmsford - ignore the Southend sign and take the left turn towards Chelmsford. At the big roundabout take the A1114 (third exit I think - signposted Southend)
Follw that to the A130 and then the A127 to Southend, then follow signs for the seafront (A1160) down to the front (Marine Parade).
The route is likely to have to change due to the Scouts and cubs having a big do in chelmsford.
See you there darryl, dj jc, anil, ian and wolfeyes. Put it in your diaries BPB (thanks for the free bumps) and topgooner for next year (first sunday in august).
