Medium weight waterproof Jacket

Hi folks,

Been looking at getting a medium weight jacket that is waterproof (ideally goretex)… I’ve got the Tricky III which covers me in the winter but was wanting something a bit lighter and a bit shorter even that can wear more easily for in the city and until the weather gets really cold.

The one I had seen and liked was the Dainese Racing D-Dry but thought I’d knock the idea about and see if anyone had any similar suggestions… I prefer the shorter cut of jacket for in city…

Now the one thing I did not understand is how good is this whole D-Dry system from Dainese? Is it equivalent to Goretex?

Nope , its not.

I had a D Dry Jacket and Gore Tex pants and guess which bit of me was wet most !

I also did the whole re-waterproofing thing with Nikiwax and it didnt work !

ah I see… So D-Dry = D-Wet?

Damn and I thought I would have been able to get away with it… Really don’t want to shell out on Goretex again :frowning:

Its not that bad , but its not as good as Gore tex

I have a summer set up with Gore Tex army surplus kit for when it rains.

so you like ‘going commando’ on the bike eh :stuck_out_tongue:

Yup , all stealthy !

Thats why I rode a jet black gixxer.

My Rev-it gear has served me well over the past 2.5 years.

Hmmm just seen this from HG

And think I might go for it given the price…
