Andrew, you wont be disappointed

R6 just pips 675 ------------------------- by .07 sec on the track. If all other reviews are correct, the Daytona will stomp all over the R6 in the real world. Plus seeing them side by side - you realize juust how fugly the R6 is ( IMHO )

And as someone who has test ridden the 675 – I appeal to you all to donated 2 pounds each to my Daytona fund – I thank you.

I will happily donate if you will alos donate to My “But Dan a Blade appeal”

Cheques, postal orders, cash, paypal, bullion gratefully accepted

Which mean that if the R6 guy had a glass of whater before that test the two bikes would be equal as he would weigh a glass of water more?

Maybe the guy riding the 675 had a glass of water before hand to enable him to P**s all over the R6.

Nice one J-man. The thought of having to buy said rag was causing a rash, so the summary will do nicely ta

Ugly is the word too.

0.7 sec a lap is a long way over race distance.

I’d rather have the trumpet out of the 2 for road use though.

Good man. Mebbe I’ll let you rub her flanks in the spring.

Rubber flanks. Steady on old chap

Ducati – .07 not .7 lol

MCN tested all 5 of the supersport contenders on sheer speed and track performance, and they finished:

  1. R6 1:46.213
  2. Daytona 675 1:46.220
    3)ZX 636 1:46.385
4)GSXR600 (the al now one) 1:46.976
    5)CBR600RR 1:47.937

They used identical Metzler tyres for all bikes.

They also tested the power and torque at the rear wheel:

R6 106.5 BHP and 42.31ftlb
Daytona 675 106BHP and 49.04ftlb
ZX 636 110.6BHP and 44.4ftlb
GSXR600 107BHP and 44.4ftlb
CBR600RR 102.4BHP and 43.69 BHP

That’s very impressive.

Was chatting to Paul Young ( no - not the singer! ) at Brands last year - and he’s campaigning on enext season - interesting to see how he gets on - seemed very confident in the bike.

With all the figures and all, I think I would still go for the 600RR out of all the sports 600’s.

Dunno just something about it?

You’re just a Honda-junkie, despite all the moaning about how expensive they are etc…

LOL

Let’s face it, all three bikes are sooo close on performance, and the slightest change (suspension, tyres, exhaust etc) could completely re-arrange these results … so in the long run, it surely must come down to personal taste rather than sheer performance!

Here Here.

But I’m biased

I would go for the Kawasaki just mental attitude as always love em to bits they just have a raw edge about em!
