Well… Got home at 4.30 from a day with Michael Neeves, road tester for MCN. Since the bike won the Britain’s Got Biking Talent they’ve been keen to get a full road test done.
I went over on Saturday to set-up the carbs properly, but anyone who know’s FCRs, they’re a bugger to setup! Got the main jts sorted, but looks like new needles and a tweek to the accellerator pump to sort our low rev grumbles. It’s fine if you’re progressive on the throttle, but it still bogs a bit of you snap open the throttle. Still, dyno results were good, 170rwhp and 95 torque. So once the exhaust system is finalised, the Dyna 2000 is on and set-up and the carbs sorted, we’re definitely looking at more! wooooohooooo!
There will be a full road test of the bike in MCN at the beginning of January, including a few shots of it being ragged past us on the back wheel. From what I saw the pics look really good!
Overall he liked the bike a lot with his first impressions being ‘really nice, comfortable with a great engine…’. Shame it was so bloody cold tho!
I took a vid on my camera phone which will be sure to be really crap, but I’ll post it up tomorrow.
Videos etc will be on the MCN site when the feature edition is out… ![]()
