I noticed that, one was past her sale by date for a show girl!
Why buy a new bike anyway…
I went to the seaside instead.
Take out any seagulls? ![]()
I had a pretty great time, I went mostly to see all the stuff I didn’t have time to see at the NEC. had a good sit on the new zx6 and cbr, there was a LOT of cruiser stuff going on though and it was pretty packed, almost bought a new shark lid that had £80 off.
oh and I paid £15 per ticket and took a packed lunch with me, because I thought ahead.
+1
I thought it was much better organised and it had more exhibitors than the last time I went 5 years or so ago.
I don’t know what other people expect from a bike show but it had everything I expected…
Lots of shiny new bikes all in one place. Okay so P&H has lots of bikes but they are packed pretty tight so not as easy to appreciate them.
No salesmen tried to sell me anything…which was refreshing.
Some beautiful restored and hand-built bikes to admire.
Bonus of some light entertainment in the central arena.
Further bonus of lots of stalls to look at…though in my case I was only window shopping. Kit seems to have gone up in price in the last five years.
The food was expensive and disappointing as usual. The beer was ok.
Fine Chicken company food was fine… though the queue was ridiculous.
Ah it’s a shame you didn’t say hi. Next time I’ll try and get an LB T-shirt to wear, to eliminate doubt. Sorry I didn’t see you, probably preoccupied taking pictures :hehe:
I beg to differ ![]()

if anyone hears me saying I’m going next year, can you remind me what a poor experience I had this year. Much prefer the NEC, book a cheap room for the night, head up the day before - get on the beers, wake up see the show drive home.
Where’s the nearest opticians?
Looking at that, a visit to one is in urgent need!
Sorry.
Having been through the trial or booking, paying for, setting up and dismantling a stand at a major exhibition centre I think people seriously underestimate the costs of having a stand. Suggesting that having spent £500 a day or more for a 2 x 3 metre stand plus public liability, staff, transport of stock, hire of display equipment, purchase of pop-up stands or banners there should be discounts on the latest gear that competes with online retailers is a fantasy.
You should have been there on Friday…
As a happily married 40 something man I barely registered them of course but…
The Carole Nash stand
The Ducati stand
The Yamaha stand
and the stand next to Infinity (I forget the name)
…all had most beautiful female employees. ![]()
No comment on the girls in the photo above but the guy in the pink T-shirt appears to be checking out the filler cap :w00t:

 well spotted.
Yeah the Carole Nash girlies were very nice. Bored out of their brains but very nice.
I didn’t go to the show as I woke up too hungover (sorry Ally!) but they could have the best bikes, the best deals, the best girls and the best food… and some people will still find something to moan about :w00t:
If something’s cheaper online then just bloody buy it online.
I went on Friday really late (had a blast to Burnham) at around 1600. Got on a bikesafe course (my second) with my buddy for free, and best of all, I had a real nice chat with Mickey Dunlop. Hes such a legend, and was cool as. It was worth the entrance fee for me.
i drank beer with John McGuinness and Randy Mamola last year and had a great time
couldnt get the funds to go this year though
as far as girls are concerned, I think the OMC stand had the best ones
I liked the brunette lassie at the Michelin stand
