Very true. Pride and cockiness usually come before an off. 
As usual for a Top Gear presenter, there are a couple of flaws and some exagerations but pretty close to the mark I recon.
Hah, brilliant! Yes, quite true. My own graph would be a little different. Mainly due to no beginners luck and the lack of a reduced confidence line after an accident for quite a while.
