Stone me, there’s a surprise. Hernia ops. are on the increase. Seems to have come as shock to the government/NHS. Given that men over 60 account for 80% ish of those and women over 60 another 10% ish, have neither relised there was a huge post WW2 baby boom? And how old are we all now?
Any way, my one is on Tuesday and I’m told I should not motorcycle for 3/4/6 weeks. (Different doctors. Take your pick.)
So I reckon I’ll be fit for the Locks Bottom start May Day ride.
Anyone up for it?
I was fit for a sh*g two days after mine - Lock’s Bottom should pose no problems.
(Sorry no photos are available but Mrs J can verify)
Jetstream: I was fit for a sh*g two days after mine…
Why does that not surprise me?
I was thinking of taking some older roads and not joining the A21 'till the final bit.* Might even divert to Brighton at the last.
Now if we can persuade Lessismore to lead, he will find routes the highway authorities have long forgotten.
('Tis he that has that special “horse **** in road” button on his satnav. Most often it’s just on the fast line around a blind bend. If he fouls up on that, it’s gravel. Failing which, wet leaves or the whole horse.)
*Against which, It is one heck of a buzz riding with a load of other bikes sometimes. Providing you can trust them.
