I’d be a little concerned with the statement on their site…
“Most of the Masei helmets are DOT & ECE approved to meet Basic safety requirements”
What would bother me are the two words MOST & BASIC.
That’s suggests that not all the helmets are approved and the ones that are approved only reach the basic requirement, Not sure i’d want an accident in a Basic Helmet.

And from the pictures and other notes on their web site, I’d
guess they are more into some sort of “style” than function.
They have chromed helmets, or skulls or Ironman, etc
They could apeal to some of my younger relatives
l love them. l hate boring helmets that we all have here:) not up for the skulls crap but chrome looks fantastic 
yet still…need some safety here as well.
made in japan…always better than china but no ratings anywhere in europe makes me a bit concerned that it will be the same as not wearing helmet at all :unsure:
If you like nice designs there are plenty of European Helmets that meet all the safety requirements by much more than Basic requirement and come in some great designs. AGV have some really crazy colour schemes in the VR46 range
I’d rather have a know good make helmet and get someone to paint the lid whatever design i wanted.
