Just wondering if anyone know anything about the Specs cameras on the anti clockwise side of the M25 between J29 and J27?

haha, I was wondering exactly the same thing around 3 o’clock this afternoon. I go through them pretty often, and always wondered if they were bona-fide revenue machines or just left over from roadworks. I’ve always slowed just in case, but not many others do!!
i think they are just left over from the road works, i always go through there at quite a pace and have nothing come through yet.
Call me niaive, but aren’t temporary cameras for road works supposed to be removed after the work is finished?
I think there are some ACPO guidelines on this. But I’m too bl**dy lazy to look it up.

The “last bits to go” are always the contractors traffic signs and bits of plastic barrier stuff. They never go. They hang around for months until they finaly disppear in some Council/TfL/Highways Agency clear up.
