Lowering Kit for my Hornet 600cc 2009 model.

Hey guys!

I took my bike to the shop to get lowered. They call me up saying that the lowering kit that they have does not fit my bike!

They were confused because they bought the kit that says from model 2007 onwards…

I’ve been to Google but I can’t find it either!

Can someone help please!!! : )

you said they ordered the one for '07…from the pic in your profile i see that its a new hornet… which you have?? :ermm: so whats the prob?

Hello,

Yes my hornet is 2009 model. They ordered the lowering kit that should fit any Hornet from 2007 until 2010… But apparently it does not fit!

I am riding my hornet for the past 3 weeks. Once I am on the move its ok… But when I am going slow or need to reach the floor is very scary!

I dropped the bike twice because of that.

I have two issues with this that upsets me!

  1. Which bike shop? They should know what they are talking about and get you the correct kit. A call to Honda should clear this up!

  2. A Hornet is not a Sports bike! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey cheeky a Hornet is a naked sport bike!

Yeah I am very annoyed at the dealers really! They are HONDA dealers!

possible mispackaging error

possible model change on the 09 plates with abs etc introduced as wemoto list a 07-08 kit and then a seperate 09 with abs kit

I am still waiting for the dealers to call me with a answer. When I bought the bike it was part of the deal to get it lowered so they will have to do it!

I just ordered rear hugger so I am waiting for it to arrive so I can go there and get it all fitted : )

hmm… just something you should check/be aware of… my bike is lowered (when im riding it - too heavy) so my hugger has rubed on the exhaust a few time. :ermm:

then again the new hornet has an low exhaust but make sure that if you lower it you wont have problems with the hugger
