Okay, my bad. I made a big mistake today and lost my first item whilst riding (surprised at that fact alone!). I didn’t properly strap down a big reel of Super-XXL LB stickers that were meant for cars and vans and they went off on a trip of their own down the A1(M), northbound, somewhere between J1 & J7. Bugger.
I reached back at J7 only to feel my rucksack, not the reel. If anyone finds them, please return to us There’s a reward!
I couldn’t go back immediately as I would have been late for my meeting, but went back after and spent the next 80 miles going up and down in the pissing rain looking for them at 50mph. No joy
I gracefully accept the insults Very annoying as they aren’t bloody cheap! You’d think if the cops found them, they’d contact us, I mean, it’s pretty obvious where they came from!
and it’s not like they’d be much use to anyone else!
mind you, won’t they be pretty useless after being out in the rain? were they shrinkwrapped etc?

EDIT: meant to say I’ll have a look for them tonight, will they be on the central reservation or more likely in the hard shoulder? what colour was the bundle?
I was in the outside lane all the time. It’s about 1.5ft long, half a foot in diameter and on reflective yellow/white backing. Some would have been damaged in the rain, but not all. Oh well.
I know people who’ve lost mobile phones, passports and all sorts of valuable stuff before whilst riding! This is my first, and hopefully last, though I think I lost a few marbles a few years ago, but can’t be sure?
