World famous free climber, Leo Houlding, takes 5 plucky - but immature - Brits on a global journey to grow up. Whatever their different background or issue, he’ll throw them into genuine tribal rites of passage from around the world, that mark the transition form child to adulthood. From wrestling with crocodiles in remote Kenya to learning headhunter skills in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, Leo’s recruits will be pushed to the very limit.
Who will find themselves, and who will be the first to crack? Will anyone manage 3 days in the searing heat of the Australian Outback, surviving by foraging for food and water, on a real Aboriginal walkabout? Who will win reindeer herding in the depths of Arctic Lapland, with temperatures plummeting to minus 40 C - Leo and his team or the elements? Whether it is fighting off wolves in the mountains of Georgia or a neighbouring tribe on the African grasslands, we’ll be on Leo and his recruits shoulder charting their very real ups and downs, as they struggle to leave old bad habits behind and move towards a new sense of self. Leo is just the man to lead them through. At 24 years old, he is the best rock climber in the world. Combining balls, good looks, and real charisma, he’ll lead by example, and undertake all the challenges his recruits do. He’ll even throw in a few of his own, designed to separate the men from the boys.
