Or this K8 for £6,200
GSXR 1000 2008 IN BLACK - 3700mile - 2 owners.
Incredible machine, deserves its reputation.
Very well cared for, has already had two services the last one at just under 3000 miles.
NO TRACK USE!! NO DEFECTS & NO MECHANICAL REPAIRS.
The GSXR is in showroom condition!
First owner had the bike for 1 year & I bought it from him 7 months ago. (not an ex demo)
Genuine reason for selling. You will not be disappointed, this bike is A1.
Fitted with a Datatool all singing all dancing alarm.
R&G crash bobbins. Tail tidy, Tyres are almost new.
Comes with a trickle charger. Has a de-cat, the original cat comes with the bike.
Of the 2 i would opt for the K8
Hmm, why would a 3000 mile bike have 2 owners? :w00t:
Because they both crapped themselves when they rode it:D
IMO for the £ 400 difference ( not withstanding any potential negociations ) I would opt for the K8 personally . The K7 looks to me to be a little more " f***ed about with " and , whilst some mods are generally the norm for Gixxers I think I would prefer them to be MY mods and not somebody elses . Plus it’s a later bike with less miles and possibly a little more " tasteful " than the K7

Most likely … What is the point of having a litre bike, if you don’t do tracks days and ride it hard? :w00t:

I prefer colouring of the K8, as minor as it is … and yes, the low milage is a high selling point, but HATE that exhausts.
I would try to get the K7 for atleast £5,500 and K8 for £6,000 … But like the accessories on the K7, and having it done already save me shed loads of money.
I’d only keep the bike for a year or so, then upgrade anyhow?
Tough choice?

Being a Gixer man myself I’d go for the K7 - looks more hooligan
On looks alone the K7, I like those mods.

Will I spoke to the guy about the K7 and he has only done 2,500 miles on it. It was stock when he got it, which is why he still has original parts.
Willing to go to £5600 … Would be happier with £5500, but will see.
I’ve never owned a GSXR. What is the stock suspension set-up like on a K7 / K8? Does it need to be adjusted?
How is bottom end power? Okay or Sluggish?
Why on earth are sellers so keen to point out the bike hasn’t been on a track day?
It’s not like a GSXR was designed with much else in mind.

I know, seems very odd??? It would equate to selling a Ferrari and saying it was only ever driven by old lady to church, Sundays.
It makes you wonder what they are trying to hide? or why they even bought the bike in the first place.
I like the exhaust and the extras on the K7.

Yeah, I dig that exhaust too. Shame I couldn’t do that to my previous R1
bet those pipes are well noisy

Would imagine so … but no idea if the are road (or track) legal? Would need to investigate?

I would go for the K8 out of them two (more practical exhaust and no tacky stick on number boards)
K7 and K8 are the same apart from stickers
I still run std suspension on my K7 works fine
you will need a power commander and custom map as the cat has been removed.
I would also run braided lines on the front and fit Bendix pads.
I also use a K&N air filter.
The bottom end power is a lot stronger than a R1 and with a proper power map set up it should have a good power curve with no dips in it.
BHP at the rear wheel can vary my Track K7=165BHP and my Road K7= 173BHP
The bike itself is really nice to ride with endless power all the way through and can also be ridden in all road/traffic conditions.
I went up to wales a couple of weeks ago and covered 550 miles in 10 Hours no problem.
I have also used it to tour the south of France
The only thing I will be changing is the handlebars I am going to fit Harris clip on’s (just that bit wider the std bars are a bit narrow.
Ang did 40,000 Miles on her one with no real probs.
we did have to change the rear shock at about 30,000 Miles.
Hope this helps
my mate just bought a K8 with micron serpent cans, y-piece, PC with custom map etc etc…power was absoluetely immense, was an amzing riding experience - get one
