My friend lives in the faraway hole that is called Southend and we usually drive down in the car when we visit, but as I’m going alone this weekend, I thought I may as well get the bike and practise those corners. I don’t particularly want to go down the motorway or the A127 as they’re a bit boring.
Any suggestions for good, fun, bike friendly routes to Southend?
I don’t have Satnav and don’t know the area, so it can’t be too difficult to navigate either.
where are you starting from?
A1168 off the M11 then follow that to Chipping Ongar
A414 towards Chelmsford and thenthe A130 to A1245

My sense of direction is so good that if I would “follow my nose”, I’d probably end up in Bristol
