I am planning to go from London to Barcelona next Tuesday and Come back on Sunday.
I was checking and it is 900 miles and I never did a long trip like that, but last time we went to France was 17hours trip in one day with stops.
I have a Honda CBR 600rr and would like to know what you guys think about to do 900 miles in one day with few stops only.
Painful? I will be able to do? anyone want to come?
I appreciate any advice.

Physically you might survive, but I can tell you on a CBR your arse/wrists/other bodily parts may not thank you. Or even work, come to think of it.
Thought about maybe taking the ferry from Plymouth down to northern Spain and riding from there?

Doing 450 miles in a day is either a very long day or a very dull medium day on a motorway.
Are you aware of the Portsmouth to Bilbao or Plymouth to Santander ferries?
If you cut the journey in half and stay at a Formule 1 motel somewhere in France you’ll enjoy the trip more i reckon.
London to Folkestone is 70 miles, Eurotunnel, then from Calais i would suggest avoiding the Paris peripherique and instead going around via Rouen, Orleans, Limoges, and Toulouse OR head the other side of Paris towards Dijon then Lyon then Montpellier (Millau bridge if you fancy it).
Can you tell i organise tours for a living?

Ferry to Bilao will be a sensible option? Or speak to Ginger about loooooooong rides.

I did 1,300miles in under 36hrs and i was perfectly fine Loved it
i did 1475 miles in 24 hrs
thats from Ace Cafe to Millau Bridge and back to Ace Cafe in 24 hrs
it was good mind you i slept for like 12 hrs when i got home
left ace cafe at 6.04pm on friday was back at ace cafe at 5.50pm on saturday and yes people can prove i done it

I did 700miles to get to south of France in a day in my Z1000…
I needed a new arse and couldn’t go near the bike on day 2. Good luck chap!
Easy really but much better 2 split the trip, cheap bnb’s over there formula 1 etc plus u not worried about plod
i did 900 miles on a rally last year on my cbr, it was an overnight one and tooks us from 2pm till 10am the next day riding within most speed limits (only 1 motorway) and with 5 minute stops every 25miles (to get our cards signed) and a couple of longer breaks as wellneedless to say at the end of it, I was knackered. My back ached and I was tired. my wrists didnt hurt too bad though but on the plus side of things, I found a way to almost lay down on my bike while riding and found my seat was quite comfortable

Go for it:) a few of us got down to Livorno Italy this year 1250 miles approx in two 8 hrs rides, stayed in Folkstone before catching early train, R6babe was on her R6 she made it with no aches or pains :w00t:.
Alternatively and correctly :P, 23hrs and 46 mins. Even better Ginger.

Me and my mate used to ride to Africa and back every weekend…We used to do it all the time.

Ginger is a bit crazy… I did a ride with him to France few month ago.
The Ferries are a bit **** I thought, I dont stay 20hs + in a ferry… I am thinking to sleep in the middle of the trip and do the other half next morning, so I can enjoy a bit more the view.
I just would like to do in one day to get there and enjoy, but maybe I will be in a lot pain in the next day that I won’t enjoy, so I think better sleep in the middle.
I also liked the idea of the bridge. Didn’t know it…I will looking for.
Thanks the other tips about police and where to avoid. I will see what I plan and let you guys know.
