Is anyone thinking on going to this years London bike show which is on from 31st Jan til 3rd Feb 2008.
If i go i will either go on 31st Jan or 1st Feb as they are during the week.
I was planning on it but then again over the last month i’ve paid around £600 for bike and bike related kit so i’m guessing my fiance will say no. Still had some massive bargins in that month probably should have come in at a grand or so. Gotta love ebay!
i will be going but donno wot day yet could go any day really as i dont live 2 far from there really (Onbike).
tickets booked for the Saturday
I should make the effort as it’s only across the water from me, probably go on the Sunday if I do though.
I’d be into it for the Friday (1st) afternoon.
I’ll definitely be going , on one of the weekends , not quite sure which one yet . Went last at its new venue at the Excel and was very pleasantly surprised :w00t: , a big improvement on the Ally Pally show , More of the new bikes on show , much better trade stands , all round a much better show .
I fancy it.

NO! I went the first year and was disapointed. Thought I’d give it a go last year and was disapointed. Way Way Way Overpriced, far to expensive to park a car and not enough gong on. Not enough bikes, no real atmosphere and too much tat.

Not to mention other bikers, would be suicidal to try and lift a bike with that many other bikers around.

So the show is crap but the food is nice.
I thought it was a bit crap last year. Don’t expect anything on the scale of the NEC and don’t expect to see many manufacturers’ stands (although I see on the site they have managed to attract more this year than last, including the big 4 Japs). Plenty of clothing dealers though, so good for bargain hunters.

Aggreed! But they say its better this year. Ill be going thursday or friday…with plastic on my hip!
wasn’t a great show last year, altho was handy to buy a few things in bulk with some other peeps. seemed very crowded on the weekend, and not a great deal to look at tbh.
trade stands didn’t seem great either, from speaking to the some of the people in the trade it was too expensive for many of them to participate so just got the big companies, and smaller discounts. ali pali was much better for actually buying stuff
am i right in thinking ali pali isn’t even on this year now?
Havent seen anything on the ally pally show, so dont think it is a go-er, Think it might be better this year as they say they will have manufacturers stands this year…but why not wait until someone posts back on the forum what it is like…?
