As long as I can get an alternative that can be re-used then I’m happy?
I generally buy a litre bottle of water at the start of the month and then rinse and re-use it, filling it from the water point in the office. I get through about 2 litres of water a day and, apart from the £1.00 I spend on buying the initial bottle, it’s free! 
I do find the concept of paying for a bottle of water, whether from Tesco or in a restaurant, bizarre though! :blink:
I do the same, reuse the same bottle of water for month or two.
But, thinkin of buying something more suitable when I find one.
I often use one of my cycling water bottles, just stick it in the dishwasher periodically.
But they get manky after a while…hence why I don’t use a normal plastic bottle for to long…think metal is the way forward for me.
The cycling ones stay ok cus you can put them in the dishwasher. They’ll last a couple of years.
I race myself and have looked after a professional bicycle team so know all about the things, had to wash loads and loads and loads of them in my time.
At work we have free cans, bottles etc and hence people get thru loads.
I’ve bought a 1L drinks bottle and fill that instead.
Makes me feel a little better about the fuel I’m getting thru

Seems ok at first glance.
BUT if ive been out and about with the kids all day and they need a drink and ive now run out, ill go and buy a bottle of water, as they dont drink coke or other fizzy drinks (only on a rare occasion). Theres no way Id allow them to drink from a water fountain if it was in the city, can you imagine what the drunks or delinquents do on a weekend to them :sick:
I think if you just ban the bottled water, people will just grab the next available drink on the self, rather than start to carry their own.
just to let you know… this sort of stuff started a while ago here in the uk.
Personally i find london water absolutely disgusting… if anyone wants me to drink tap water, then they need to clean and filter it much more than it currently is. Anyone with a glass shower door will know how much limescale and other crap there is in london’s tap water.
I do intend to install a reverse osmosis filtration system… but not while im renting.
