Little (!) Ride Up North - Tomorrow (Sun 20/08/2011)

Due to being thoroughly miffed about missing out on the official ride up north, we’ve decided to do a mega ride and do some Peak District action!

Will of course cover the cat and fiddle and snake pass, as well as fish hill somehow on the way back…

Ride is 500 miles ish and claimed 12 hours on google maps, so no L platers!

If anyone is somehow mad enough to want to come along, post up! We’ll be leaving about half 8 from hanger lane…

would of loved to go, but of to,supension BBQ tomorrow,

hope to get the bird looked at, and may get the supension on the bike done too:D

Damn right I am. Have you a post code for the start point? I know where Hangar Lane is but it’s a big roundabout.

Ace will do me, leaving at half 8. Don’t expect luxurious tea rooms either, we’ll be finding stops on the fly

Sound as a €. Team Green.

Tempted to go on this long ride, but don’t want to turn up with a sore butt to work on monday  humm …

we don’t need to know about your bedroom antics, see you at the ace!

We can pick up some ibuprofen gel on route.

Snake Pass and Cat and Fiddle are both great roads! Enjoy

and crawling with plod at weekends, so watch ya speed;)

Well that was a ride and a half. 462 miles. Great run. Thanks Alex and Cindy. I’ll catch you soon.

epic for a sunday ride! :w00t:

freaking awesome day of riding! :w00t: we had couple of holy **** moments but holy **** it was fun!!
though didn’t like the filtering @ 111mph and going inbetween lorries on our way back

and the only thing that hurts…my knees! didn’t feel any pain on my butt or back until Wembley coming back  strange!

That so looks like my Peak District route …

Newhaven, Cromford, Calver, Sheffield, Snake Pass, Glossop, Buxton, Whaley Bridge, Maccelsfield, Cat & Fiddle and Congleton. Teaming with …

Hope you had a great unspoilt day, where’s all the photos?

RBLR 1000 for you two next year then.

Filtering at 111mph …

Such an imagination

That’d be because I stole it from this post!

It was great…except the random trip twice round Sheffield city centre for no reason!

Glad you enjoyed it Alex …

I’d have loved to have joined you but had days work planned

We got quite lucky, it was raining when we got to the cat and fiddle, 50mph average was pretty optimistic in those conditions. Much better than worrying about speed the whole way, and made us appreciate the hot chocolate in the pub when we got there!

Can you post the photos? I need them to impress some girls.
