Some time ago I installed one of those HID plug & play bulb kits on my 08 R1 (main lamps only). It all worked fine until recently the main lights wouldn’t come on, side lights still come on though. I know the bulbs are fine as when I flick it to hi beam and give it a flash they work! Tried re-installing them and also put back the original bulbs but still the same. I’m a complete noob with this type of thing but am willing to give anything a go before having to throw money at it and take it to a garage (I’m a tight assed Jock :w00t:). Any ideas?

Checked the fuses last night and no change, can’t be the bulbs as their single filament and work on flash or am I horribly wrong? Any ideas, anyone?

more likely to be the switch gear on the bars or a bad earth, had this recently on a mates gixer, took the switch apart and cleaned it all up and all was good again.

might be a bad ballast mate.
