“helmets look good!”

helmets are ok my dad and brother has one.

the first gen was crap and broke so my dad returned it and got the second gen then my brother picked up the 3rd gen and they seem all good

ive had 2 of the lidl helmets (when i was on a 125, and one while i was working at papa johns)

the first one took a 30mph off quite well, both seemed reasonable (noisy and uncomfortable, but could do the job)

Pity about LIDL having cut their motorcycle clothing range. The textiles were both excellent and brilliant value. (Ask Jetstream.)

ALDI motorcycle gear event usually only a couple of weeks later so keep watch to see what they have.

Probably pick up some thermals, couple of my ASDA pairs have shrunk and barely come below the knee.

However my other half is peeved there’s no women’s stuff. Girls get pink nighties and big knickers, blokes get motorbike gear…

Excellent - been looking for places to buy cheap biking stuff to take to Nepal for our tour that i can donate over there when we have finished!

I’ve just bought one of their torque wrenches for £15.99

I shall evaluate it this weekend and I suppose if it lasts beyond the weekend, it’ll be good value

anyone manage to get anything? I got some base layers, socks and a disc lock in Luton.

“Men’s Motorcycle Perforance Baselayer Trousers!”

I always thought I was a decent rider, but a lack of these may explain my poor performance…can anyone help… what performance dop these trousers actually assist that I’m just not getting or are they just arse holders to improve visual performance in the eternally saggy arsed leather set?

Just got a bunch of base layers and socks. Walmouth store had loads in. They also had some women’s tops in, so treated other half - ooooh big spender! Grab this weeks MCN too, there’s a 10% voucher in there to get this stuff even cheaper. However the voucher wasn’t working this lunch, but store manager gave me the socks for nowt, to roughly give 10% off.

Do double check the boxes, loads had random other sizes inside to what the box said…

Wouldn’t trust the lids myself, gloves looked a bit naff, not much protection. Boots appeared reasonably sturdy, but quite low cut. Dunno about the disc locks.

picked up a base layer top and trousers… but that was all the shop had in my size :frowning:

If you get a tight enough pair, they will force the blood back up your legs into your mens performance area as you pull them on.

i got the lid and gloves, i prefer the Lidl lid better than my Caberg Trip! and the gloves are pretty good to, yer Aldi bike event is in 9 days time:)

I got lid and gloves. Lid is heavy but seems actually much better made than my AGV. Good features too. Gloves are thin but very warm. Quite impressed. Perfectly fine for my 125.

Got some socks and a new base top, the stitching has changed colour from last year its now a funky red

I picked up a base layer top, base layer bottom, socks and a kidney belt

The kidney belt was a blue beer voucher impulse buy, can’t expect too much but it feels comfortable enough and its another layer to keep a vital areas warm and it offers a little extra protection just in case too.

The base layers are a little disappointing, no where near as comfortable as my Tesco thermals. Time will tell how they feel/perform after a ride.

Mrs Art had some harsh words concerning the socks, seems I picked some up two years back, I don’t remember, apparently they washed up very poorly, three washes and they were out Mrs Art tells me :w00t:
