Lidl Watch Returns...

A dangerous amount of bargains available here… Just bought a socket set and a box of drill bits. I don’t even need any sockets, nor drill bits…

Still they are quite nice to hold…

Oh I like the look of the socket set, I have several sets too but could find room for another one. Not bat for £40

Oh yeah should have said the socket set was £40 and the drills were £7…

The sockets look pretty good considering… I don’t think the ratchet mechanisms are going to last very long though but cheap ones never do… Good to see a couple of t bars included instead, I generally prefer to use those anyways…

Well, that’s one opinion.

I had a load of Lidl and Aldi stuff at work as “just in case” tools and it got so that everyone knew I had this stuff and felt free to borrow it. I know it was used quite a lot for stripping commercial boilers and air con. plant by the H&E guys. Guess what?

No one complained and they are all still looking good and working well.

Don’t be a tool snob. If it does the job, it’s fine.

the’re not on the kings recommended tools list then ? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hahaha Moto-King you horrible horrible man

As I said at the top, I have plenty of other tools that I have accumulated and inherited over the years, all good stuff.
Those bits stay on the wall in the workshop though. They get cleaned after use and put pack on the correctly labelled hanger.

My new Lidl set is what we might call an ‘impulse buy’… I’ll see how they stand up to the rigours of workshop use. Or I might take the bits I use and stick them under the seat for long trips etc…

Must admit I’m tempted by something like this. I’ve got plenty of quality stuff, but that’s locked up in the garage down the bottom of the garden, would be useful to have one of these to hand under the stairs for those little jobs around the house or on my pushbike etc.

dude you are one funny c*nt!

that mad me proper LOL

I’ve never seen such a scathing review of my shopping habits

Was fucking funny tho dude, i was bit stoned but i did laugh:D

Yeah it was funny, I’m not easily offended.

As someone else said, it’s a shame Moto-Nosher wasn’t around when we had that bloody ambulance chaser parading himself around the gaff!!

i’m sure he was watching, hes probably off getting beaten up by leyton orient supporters :smiley:

Top Boy tho, funny as **** he is:cool:

He must be planning some sort of Moto-Sting

Moto-King A little respect is always appreciated, but just for your information, I don’t even own any corduroy, not sure I ever have.

I will agree with you that you kind of get what you pay for so if I was an apprentice mechanic, and could afford it, I’d buy Snap-on and the like knowing I’d get my whole working life and some more out of it. But amateurs buying in to that stuff is pretty much an affectation. You just don’t meed to spend that sort of money.

I’ve said it before: If a tool does what you want and does it well when needed, it could have Kellog on the box for all I care.
