Lewis Hamiltons win !!! (Not)

Not a Lewis fan or something a bit more unpleasant? The guy is a fantastic talent. End of.

you got to have confidence to drive like that, if that tends to make you a bit arrogant its understandable…succesful people have an air of confidence that can appear arrogant…

I don’t think anyone is saying they cheated(not this time anyway) just that they hold too much sway when there is any doubt - you only need to look to the last race to see that.

BTW What did Mclaren do last year:)

Stick my neck out…

i AM a LEWIS fan

Brilliant talent. Confident and showing he can hold his head up against the doubters

The incident last year was a setup in an attempt to humiliate McLaren. It backfired and resulted in Max Moseley being humiliated.

Ferrari have been a cheating team for years, it’s part of how they play the game, Schumacher had been trying it on since he started driving for them. Ross Braun has done all but admitted it in public.

Hamilton got no advantage from the move, he was pushed off the track, would have had a lot of debris collected on his tyres and yielded the immediate gain he got, he was then behind the Ferrari, the same position he had going into the corner so all back to pre-incident state with the exception of debris on his tyres, but then managed to overtake as the Ferrari was obviously expecting him to have spun off. Tough **** to Ferrari, their agressive move failed so their mates in the FIA put pressure on to have Hamilton penalised so they could still win.

Same as Ferrari not being penalised last race for the pit lane incident, mates with the FIA, no penalty. Same old same old.

Mclaren were given documents last year…they read them and they learned stuff…but it was not them that stole the documents…but they got a big enough fine for it…

Ferrari do rule the roost but mclaren are going to win this year, come on hamilton stick it up em…

Its all about money in my opinion. And money is the only real input element which divides F1 and Moto GP - amazing how much better moto gp is…

Just hope Espeleta doesn’t ruin it because from interviews I’ve seen with him, he has no real idea how MotoGP runs saying rubbish like it’s not a prototype series and that the bikes are close to road machines :pinch:

I think thats a bit of a harsh comment…Have you met him? I think most people who have met him will agree that he comes across as a decent guy.I’ve met him twice, once in Melbourne before his first GP and again earlier this year and on both occasions he was a sound lad and happy to spend time chatting and was just all around decent. I’m not sure where you get arrogant from too be honest? I actually think he is one of the less arrogant drivers out there… then again, he has the right to be arrogant. Its not like he was a one season wonder, he is driving well, handling the pressure well and well… he’s soon to be a world champion too.

Call me kiljoy but this is a bike forum, what is this 4 wheel nonsense to which you refer?

Why are you watching people spending 6 billion dollars a year to drive in a circle 1 after the other? People complain the Defense budget could be better spent! I think National health and education budgets would be far BETTER recipients of the amount of money those overpaid chauffeurs spend just to go round and round… its not even interesting racing… it really isn’t racing at all. Its going fast just to make cameramen practise their quick panning techniques…

I emailed Mclaren saying i hope they win the appeal and now emailed the FIA saying what tossers they are for doing what they did and called them rasist against Lewis as they don`t want a black driver winning the championship.
I wonder if they will reply.

Agree with Puppy.

It’s a general forum, don’t watch F1 unless I’m with people who do, but I wasn’t there for this race.

BOOO EVICT THEM!

:D:w00t::hehe:

The most intense end to any GP for a long long time…ruined by the stewards.

IMO…There is no argument. Lewis won…fair and square. Any advantage taken, was given back before the hairpin…backed up by the data from his car and the obvious way he let KR by.

yeee power to the people. i emailed mclaren too wishing them luck!

What I have trouble with, and no one here has yet mentioned it, is that Raikonnen did not even finish the race.

This is not a question of ā€œdid Hamilton gain an advantage and then beat Raikonnen?ā€ Raikonnen (and Ferrari) gave Hamilton the race by not finishing.

Add that to the fact that Hamilton clearly and immediately gave any advantage gained by the incident back to Raikonnen by the time they reached the start/finish line, perhaps 100 yard after the corner, and the quite arbitrary penalty of 25 seconds and you have to conclude that all is not as it should be with the race stewards.

That was a good race spoilt by the stewards, and yes, I’d be saying the same thing if it was any other driver.

I’d bet money Hamilton will be re instated as the winner on appeal. But not with him driving a McLaren and Max Moseley still in place.

Linky Linky

Awesome video of the incident(s) from the drivers perspective.

Yes he was pushed off, but did he gain an advantage on the short straight leading to the next corner when he overtook? You decide.

Exhilerating video that one kimi has no grip whatsoever towards the end
