Let's not forget Tony Hart (I f*cking loved Take Hart)

I was gonna say has had two strokes - but then I remembered I’m on a motorcycle website. . .

:crying:
That’s really sad news.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have a picture showcased on the Gallery when I was a wee slip of a girl. Yeah, yeah. I know. Back in the day [sigh]

Poor guy, used to watch him in Hartbeat when I was a youngun, Lusty, I am jealous that you got a picture showcased!!

I sent in a pic when I was a kid, and it didn’t get shown  :crying:

Thats so sad about him no longer being able to draw…:crying: i can sympathise with him as my athritis in my hands some days stops me sewing and could’nt imagine not stitching things at all:doze: 83 never realised he was that old…cor he must have seen some changes in his lifetime:w00t:

Ah, the Vision-On tune. Damn, kinda grew up with that. Poor bloke, of all the illnesses to get.

I’m well impressed that you got on the gallery! :w00t:

Sorry Marklid mate - at least you had a go mate!

I can remember Vision-On 7wheel - I remember that the Vision-On logo was doubled up and set vertically to create a strange grasshopper/alien type creature - clever!

Very sad.

I used to like that crazy professor on Vision on

Innocent days! Proper winters, conkers etc! Tom Baker doing Dr Who, and not a hoodie in sight (probably a load of rose-tinted borrocks! )

Don’t forget morph…and chaz:D

Yea, used to like his programmes!

Just about remember Vision On.

Sad news indeed as i grew up watching him work his magic with drawings.

Poor bloke, must be awful. And Morph went up in that fire in Bristol that took out Nick Park’s (?) animation sets etc. I’d love to have one day to come back from school, watch Take Hart, Jackannory, Blue Peter with Simon Groom and Lesley Judd and Willow-the-Wisp (that right? narrated by Kenneth Williams.). RIght, I’ll stop now, this is getting sad (in the pathetic, not boo-hoo sense)

That is terrible news, really sadden by that. I have no artistic talent at all, but as a kid I was always impressed and in awe of his and the other peoples amazing abilities on the various programs that he did. And morph! Loved that little claymation guy.

Gutted.

I grew up watching him, and loved Morph. Such a shame :frowning:

Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the thread and found out he was still alive! Glass half empty etc. The great thing he has as an artist is his imagination and although it is undeniably sad that he isn’t drawing any more it doesn’t mean he can’t create art…

tis really sad i also had a picture shown about 2-3 years after i sent it in, but did get a book token for it and bought a bananaman annual with it lol
