LED Indicators

My bike (Triumph TT600 in gold) came with 4 led indicators, short arrow-type on the front and long thin oblong ones on the back. One of the rears has 6 of the 10 leds out so I’m thinking of replacing them (and as I normally buy in bulk I’m thinking of replacing all 4).

I’m wary of cheap eBay ones and the Oxford Eyeshot range looked great and - those of a nervous disposition please look away now - they have planet and rocket names which appeal as I call my bike “Rocket” (she has a bespoke paint job that somehow reminds me of the ‘Rocket’ ice-lolly of my youth and my reg is V2 xxx [v2 being the name of the WWII German ballistic missile]) but a quick search of “Oxford Eyeshot Review” led (no pun intended) me to loads of negative reviews for frequent failure unacceptable at £30 a pair.

A search revealed no recommendations, either here or Google. So, being a bit lonely as I can’t make the various meets (AKA I’m a sad git with no friends) I thought I’d ask you guys and gals if you have any recomendations…

Anyone help?

Ian

I bought some cheapies off eBay (fake carbon arrow types) for £9 delivered for a pair. Really bright, look alright and indicate what more can you ask for.

i had led indicators on my old bike ,and after a while went back to bulbs.

had so much probs with them

Oxford nano you can’t fault them

Some need a resistor in parallel with them.

led`s always go wrong IMO. buy the bulb ones and cheap ones will be perfect- and they will work.

Never had a problem with mine, (as a matter of routine, I always put a relay in line) I’ve fitted black Oberon indicators to my BMW F800ST

Indicators are for wimps. Willy the wimps.

Live on the edge man. Live each day like its your last. Thats what I do but then I am BAD to the Bone.

If you have a problem with them flashing erratically, pick up a heavy duty relay from Busters. It will sort it without the need for inserting additional resistors.

Some of the cheaper ones are made from poor quality plastic that cracks due to the vibrations.
