So need some new bike gear as broke my zip on my goretex jacket do i go for leathers or textiles?
Not the slimest of people so not sure about leathers
Seeing as you’ve got a goretex jacket, see if goretex will replace the zip for you.
Otherwise it’s a question do you ride in the rain a lot or only if caught out and don’t mind putting waterproofs on over your leathers.
Personally I started with textiles as I’m out in all weather, then bought leathers when I could afford it.
i got a tidy alpinestars black jacket for sale, there is a pic in ad in for sale section.
i too am not on the smaller size, lol

As for leathers vs textiles… Textiles for winter and leathers for summer is what I do.
Seeing as you mentioned in another thread that you want to get into amateur racing you’re going to need leathers anyway.
Very true lol, have looked at a few but need to sit racing test first so wont be any actual racing till 2013 i think
Im all weather too as use the bike as a means to get to and from work. Normally always raining when im on way to and from work and sunny when im at work :blink:
