Ta,

Sneaky

Kickstart Rider Training in East London - a bit ramshackle at the time but got me through the Test. Incidentally, the Tests were booked at Hornchurch, a good place for riding round.

I used kickstart for my CBT because they were supposed to be “geared vespa friendly”. Turned out they had an old T5, not in the best nick.
They’re a nice bunch though. Mind you this was in 2002 so a long time ago.

I recently used Eastside riders for a “geard bike” lesson and found them really good and a friendly bunch.

I did try to book a CBT with Metropolis when I got my first Vespa (PX125). When I told the girl I wanted to learn to ride a geared bike because I was buying a geared scoot she said “Why are you doing that? Can’t you just buy an ET4”. So that was my first and last dealing with Metropolis, I’ve subsequently heard to avoid their riding school as their shops.

passed my test with kickstart too - good peeps

heard bad things about kickstart…

may not be entirely true.

i would say eastside riders, i passed with them last year they have a 90% pass rate:w00t:, good guys n gals, top bikes to use for tests and training(latest CG’S AND CBF’S) in perfect nick, give them a call 0208-5332835:)

oh yeah forgot to say if with eastside tests will be in chingford:)

another recruited to the ranks aye sneaky;)

A quick up date for all you guys/Gals that helped on this thread. It turned out that on calling these numbers first thing in the morning, that Eastside were the only guys out of bed. It being “The Early Worm That Catches The Bird” , an appointment was made wi’these guys. The applicant is a complete novice, but half way through the day, things went a bit pear shaped. Hunger, tiredness etc got the better. But true to Ratty46’s word, Eastside rallied around and got it all back on track.

More training is still required to reach CBT standard, but the applicant has left a very, very long day chomping on the bit to nail the job in hand. So well done to Eastside for that, plus going the extra mile and three quarters they have to get the training back on track and thank you all , until I have more news.

Well, if anyone actually givs a hoot. There is more news. Astonishing news. These guys, true to there word have taken the applicant back on board. And we have a pass! I am not sure whether Eastside have gone “above and beyond the call of duty” but they have certainly exceeded our expectations! I wont go into details, but the effort made by these guys was tremendous!

Well done to Marc and Leanne! The applicant will be back for even more training shortly! We could have a new biker in our midst shortly:cool:

good news george, glad to have helped.

eastside are good, i had some silly woman(in a car) nearly hit me on my first two days training, i went mad, parked the bike up n jumped off to go after her!:w00t: they was kool with me tho, me and marc had a lil ding dong too, but we got back on track.

reminds me must go show’em my bike!

I took my Direct Access with Eastside and could not be more impressed by their commitment to making me pass and ride safely.

An excellent, professional bunch.
