I have tweeked Ride Magazines little tour of Essex to start from the High Beach Tea Hut and go to Finchingfield from there using the Normal Route we follow. then on to Burnham on crouch taking in Sudbury, Colchester, West Mersea & Maldon beore heading back to Brook Street Roundabout in Brentwood where we can all filter off to our home destinations.
My Plan is to set off from the Tea Hut (Bacon Rolls for Brekkie to start ) and head off to Finchingfied where we can have a quick chill on the green and take in some refreshments. Then head off for about an hour to an hour and a half (depending on speed) ride to Mersea Island where we will stop for Lunch and a nice relax. Then its another stint of around an Hour to Burnham on Crouch for another refreshment break, then the final stint of just over an hour to Brook Street Brentwood.
It’s the one in RiDE magazine this month, except it starts from the Tea Hut rather than Ongar Road. (Think they must’ve been playing in your back yard last month!!)
I’m up for a bit of seeing is there really is life after all on the eastern side of London, with the same caveats as everyone else in regards to dates.
I look at the map tomorrow
I’ll also tipex maldon if you want save having to round the bypass I’ll send you around to pickets lock then through into Maldon onto heybridge that way you I can be so lazy and wait for you ay my gates lol
i’m waiting to see what date Miss Plum has for the Midnight Ride. If it’s on the date that people can’t do we will do this one so that those that miss out on the midnight run get to do this one instead. I don’t want to arrange this for the same weekend she does hers as she has put loads of hard work into the midnight ride I wouldn’t want to do anything that would conflict with it.
